Course: French Language Advanced Level 2
Course Description: French Language Advanced level 2 course signifies the competence level of the French learner. The learner will be comfortable / confident in understanding and speaking French to certain level and sees things differently with a different perspective. This level the emphasis is on effective argumentation: defending an opinion, developing a point of view on a subject, giving the pros and cons of an argument, one can present a logical argumentation, negotiating and making concessions, and can present hypothetical situations. The student feels at ease in social situations: he/she fully understands standard French, even in a noisy environment; he/she can initiate a conversation, is able to select the appropriate moment to participate and knows how to conclude the conversation adapting to the different styles, changes of direction and emphasis which occur in normal conversation. One has a heightened awareness of language, correcting errors which have led to misunderstandings and making a conscious effort to monitor what he/she is saying in order to rectify any mistakes which may occur.
| Eligibility: | Prior French language Advanced level 1 knowledge is required. Good English written and verbal skills are required, as the medium of training will be in English. |
